Emily (GloHaus): The One Who Was Too Good To Be True

Emily (GloHaus): The One Who Was Too Good To Be True

Meet Emily, one of our very first ambassadors. And read all about her below.

The First Time I Noticed Her

Emily was my very first ever application to become a Brand Ambassador for The Curated Club. Before I'd even had a chance to properly get things off the ground, there she was, landing in my inbox like she'd been waiting. She already had some brilliant TikToks, her work as a beginner was genuinely impressive, and she was practically buzzing with excitement about TCC's launch. She wanted to support a fellow nail tech, she said. She loves small brands. She loves the community. She loves everything we stand for.

I remember thinking: She sounds too perfect to be true.

Why I Chose Her

Here's the thing about Emily. She made the decision for me before I'd even made it myself. Just by being herself. We got on a phone call (something I do with every potential BA before saying yes), and within minutes, my mind was made up. Our vibes just... MET. It was like she already knew my thoughts before I did. She had this incredible knowledge of the industry, this genuine excitement about watching other techs grow, and she was so invested in the plans for TCC that I had to keep reminding myself she didn't work here yet.

We spoke for ages. I genuinely can't remember how long. What I do remember is messaging Nikki straight after and saying: Yes to Emily.

She Reminded Me of Me

Emily was at the beginning of her nail tech journey when we first connected. She had questions, and I recognised every single one of them. Because I'd had them too. And unbeknown to her, she was part of the reason TCC came to life. I wanted to answer all of those questions for her. I wanted to build something that would help her, and people like her, in a way that hadn't existed for me when I was starting out.

She has passion and kindness in equal measure. She's experiencing so many of the same things I went through as a nail tech, though her path is her own. The difference between us? I thought things would just come to me. I didn't always put in the work the way I should have. Emily knows and accepts that she has to. She listens. She learns. She shows up. And that, more than anything, is why I am so proud of her.

She was also my very first ever coaching call, something I'll be sharing more about soon. We spoke about getting her started, getting clients in, building momentum. I could hear her pen writing the whole way through. And then she went and did it. She actually did it. She ran ideas by me, implemented what we'd talked about, and came back with results. I've coached people before, in all kinds of businesses, and so often it goes nowhere. But Emily listened and acted. That melted my heart completely. She is incredible for that.

Our Journey So Far

Since joining the TCC family, Emily has become one of the most important people in it. She's helped with ideas for the boxes, she's contributed to so many of our PDFs. Not just throwing ideas out there, but actually helping shape them into what they've become. She's given us content ideas, she's been honest when something wasn't quite right (but she does it with such kindness), and she has encouraged me on the days I've felt like everything was falling apart.

She also comes to help me box for subscribers. It is not expected from any BA, it is so appreciated, but Emily loves helping people. And this is why she will succeed in everything she puts her mind to. And the first time she came, she'd never met me in person before. She just showed up.

The Boxing Day

I was nervous. She thinks I wasn't, but I absolutely was. Because she is actually brilliant, and I wanted everything to be right. I made sure the kitchen was set up nicely before she arrived, and I was waiting anxiously, equal parts excited and terrified. I couldn't wait to take her out for food afterwards.

And then she walked in, and it was like we'd known each other forever.

She made me laugh loads. She showed me quicker ways to pack. Like, packing two at a time, having the packaging ready for each one, and I genuinely thought, why did I never think of that?! She brought this brilliant energy with her. I wasn't lonely for once! She is the kind of friend I've only ever dreamed of having.

Her grandad brought her, and he is absolutely amazing for this. She loves him so much, and that day he was just the most wholesome part of the whole thing. I hope he enjoyed his bike ride. 🙂

Things I'm Lowkey Obsessed With About Her

  • The way being a nail tech just seems to come naturally to her. Her talent doesn't look like hard work, and she's so humble about it.
  • Her honesty. Genuinely one of the most refreshing things about her. She's not harsh, she's just real. And in this industry, that's rare and valuable.
  • The fact that she actually listens and implements. She heard me on our coaching call and went and did it. That is not as common as it should be, and it tells you everything about her work ethic.
  • The fact that she is always there. Consistent, reliable, warm. The kind of person other techs should absolutely be looking up to.
  • Her voice notes. Her accent. I will not be elaborating further, just know they bring me joy.
  • That ASMR video. She knows the one. I loved it.
  • She genuinely loves seeing other nail techs and brands succeed.
  • Her nails! They always look incredible.
  • Her grandad. I know this isn't Emily, but he's so sweet and they make a great team.
  • Her ideas for the boxes are amazing.
  • Oh, and she got herself fully booked incredibly quickly after qualifying in February 2025. Which, for a newer tech, is a massive achievement and something I am so, so proud of her for.

A Memory (Or Two)

The boxing day will always stick with me. The kitchen set up, the nervous wait, the moment she walked in and it all just felt easy. Her grandad being part of it in the most wholesome way. The packing tips I should have thought of years ago. The food after. The laughing. All of it.

And then there's the breakfast cob incident. She laughed at me for calling it a breakfast cob and has not let me live it down since. For the record: I am right. She is wrong. This is not up for debate.

When she came to Niche, she arrived nervous, and then proceeded to be absolutely incredible. Not just beautiful, but so excited, so present, so her. She made it look easy. She always does.

Why She's The Curated Club Through and Through

Emily joined TCC before she even knew us properly, because she believed in what we were building. And since then, she has helped build it. She's in the boxes, she's in the PDFs, she's in the group chats and the voice notes and the moments where I've needed someone to tell me to keep going.

Without her, we'd be lost. And I mean that.

She is our strong girl. And we are so lucky she applied first. 🩷

Emily... this bit is just for you.

You came into this not knowing what TCC would become. And quietly, without even realising it, you were part of why it exists at all. I built this hoping it would help you. I hope it has.

I cannot wait to watch you grow. To see you get noticed by more brands, to watch your nail career go from strength to strength, to see you expand into everything you're capable of. And I genuinely believe that one day, you will be an incredible trainer in this industry. You have everything it takes. The talent, the kindness, the honesty, and the work ethic that most people only talk about.

You are the sister I only ever dreamed of. And I am so glad you applied first. 🩷

A short word from Nikki...

Emily is one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, and it's been amazing watching her grow in confidence and completely come out of her shell on camera. Being one of the younger members of the team means she's always ahead of the latest nail trends and knows exactly what's hot right now. We clicked from day one, our sense of humour is identical, and we're forever laughing over something ridiculous… usually her dogs, who seem to serve bombastic side eye as a full-time job. 🐶👀

A short word from Rena...

Emily is the baby and the beauty, she’s a whole vibe that I now wouldn’t wanna be without, she’s a vital part of the TCC team and I absolutely adore everything about Emily! She’s got the best sense of humour, witty, fun, makes THE best nail art that I aspire to achieve one day.
